Pacific Museum of Earth awarded national grant for Mineral Journeys digital outreach project

Pacific Museum of Earth has been awarded a Digital Projects grant from Digital Museums Canada to develop Mineral Journeys, an interactive online learning experience for Canadian classrooms.

To create a better work-life balance, more focused collaboration, and boost productivity, the Canadian Association of Science Centres is taking part in an ongoing experiment in workplace optimization, otherwise known as a 4-Day Workweek. Many organizations are using this model, and after several months of discussion, planning, and coordination, we are now ready to implement this new structure.

Our vision of success is a connected and supportive team that is motivated, productive, and excited to achieve our goals while gaining extra personal time to recharge our batteries.  Therefore, we want to maximize our time spent at work.

In addition to what is mentioned above, this initiative is being conducted under controlled conditions, with the hypothesis that reducing the standard workweek from five days to four will lead to even better service for our members and collaborators. 

We’re excited about it and look forward to reporting back with our findings.
